The 1970 Reunion Giving Bursary has been a massive help in making my time at Pembroke as enjoyable as possible. The kind support of the class of 1970 has allowed me to take part in many opportunities which otherwise would not have been possible. The main example this year being the Pembroke football tour to Bruges which at the time of writing is next week! This experience is only made possible by the Bursary. In addition to this, it has made my day-to-day life in Cambridge a lot more comfortable with less worries. Thank you very much for your generosity.

I am very thankful to have received the 1980 Reunion Giving Bursary. It has made my time at Cambridge a lot smoother, not having to worry about financial issues while studying for my degree. Last year I had to work alongside studying in order to pay rent and buy groceries which were basic necessities. I did not afford myself a lot of privileges last year like going on a night out or attending any balls. This year, however, thanks to the generous support of the 1980 Reunion Giving Bursary, I am able to focus better on my degree without having to juggle waitressing shifts at the same time. I am also able to have a better work/life balance and can take part in big Cambridge events like attending a May Ball, that are the hallmarks of the Cambridge experience for many students. I am ever so grateful for this and hope to one day be able to pay it forward in the future for someone else.

I'm a 1st year Land Economy student from East London. As a Muslim student, my faith forbids interest bearing loans, such as those offered by Student Finance England. Without access to interest-free student finance, over 12,000 Muslim students each year either forgo university entirely or are forced to self-fund due to lack of alternative student finance. Thanks to the 1990 Reunion Giving Bursary, I've had the immense privilege to study at Pembroke without being forced to take out any loans. In addition, I've had access to a broad and fantastic experience at Cambridge so far, including becoming a member of the Cambridge Union, joining the go-karting society and learning Arabic as a brand-new language.
